EASTER 2016

The day was Easter monday 28/03/2016. We had a Centre day with all the children. It was fun, inspiring and refreshing. After several weeks of toiling at school, the children needed to relax and enjoy the easter holiday. We had a short easter lesson, games, a snack and some singing and dancing. We are in an expansion season where we are aggressively searching for more sponsors to take up the new children ( Most of the younger children in the pics are unsponsored). Those that may want to take up a child or talk to a friend about sponsoring a child may inform us ( Details and contacts on the DONATION, SPONSORSHIP and CONTACT pages on this blog.

Lets work together to create a better future for these underpriviledged and suffering children who can achieve great things in life if given opportunity. Poverty and neglect have robbed them of so much but its not too late. We can reverse the trend and give them a new start in life.

Here are the sports activities we had.

Refreshment time.

Our volunteers were around to assist in serving...

Easter monday Special

The children love to sing and dance. We also had a brief Easter lesson.

Back to school!

Its always a busy time when the school term opens. This one was not just busy but exciting as well.
We have had 3 new children getting sponsors recently, and one of the sponsors is Ugandan!
We thank all our sponsors, coordinators and friends for making 2015 a year of expansion for us. We are steadily growing.

We caught up with some of the children putting on their beautiful sports uniform ( an extra set of uniform for sports activities) and we bring you the images...

CHRISTMAS 2015

We had a special Christmas season with our children here at FALCCO.
Many of the rural children in this community do not have much that comes their way that is special on Christmas days. It is mainly some extra meat for those that can afford it and not much celebration as families.
Due to that, we try to make Christmas special in simple but powerful ways for the children in our program.
We tell them to do some preparations in singing and we have a special time with them that morning. Its a time when they get to interact with other children who are not in the program.
This last Christmas, we had all the children over; both the sponsored and the ones yet to get sponsors.
We had a time of learning, interaction, singing and a shared snack lunch before they went home to join their families for the main meal of the day.

In this new year 2016, our focus is expansion. We thank God for the successes of 2015; for the new sponsors, the new children that we have reached out to, the families that have got income generating projects through our support etc. We are very grateful to our sponsors and friends who have faithfully supported us financially, morally and materially.
We believe that with a wider partnership base we shall reach more children this year. Our main goals for 2016 include:
1 - Reaching the target of having 60 sponsored children by the end of the year.
2 - Getting atleast two more part time volunteers that can volunteer their time and skills to our work.
3 - Starting an income generating project to generate local revenue to support our budget.
4 - Support 5 more families to start small scale family businesses in addition to our goat distribution program.

We continue to appeal to all friends and well wishers to join us in whatever small way you can to make a difference in the lives of our children and see total transformation in our communities. You may...
1 - Tell someone about Fathers Love and let them visit this site for themselves.
2 - Sponsor a child for 30 Usd per month and give them a brighter future (see sponsorship page)
3 - Come on a short term volunteer trip and offer your expertise and time to serve with us (we can always discuss details and give you directions)
4 - Connect us to other funding agencies that you know that could be of help.

As we try to think how we can improve the education standards in our community, we are increasingly realizing it may be necessary to start our own primary school so as to set the standards we dream of for the children. This is part of our 5-year dream as God guides and provides.

Here now are the children sharing a snack over Christmas...

CHRISTMAS STORY TIME

We took time to teach the children the Christmas story using beautiful illustrated books donated by Child Evangelism Ministries International. We explained to them the relevance of that day to their lives.
