MIRIAM CYIMPAYE GRANDIE

As seen in the pics, FALCO has been part of this family for many years, supporting and mentoring Miriam Cyimpaye in education, spiritual development and psycho social support. From the time she was very little, we've watched her grow and become the unique, humble and well behaved Teen that she is now. Several sponsors and other visitors have visited her home. We were also privileged to contribute to the construction of their new house, supported by her sponsor.

Miriam continues to study and grow into a thriving, responsible and smiling young lady. On a sad note, however, we report the death of her grandfather(in the pic) who, together with his wife, have been her guardians almost all her life. May his soul rest in peace!

Please join us to pray for comfort and strength to Miriam, her grandmother(who is aging and sickly) and the rest of the family. Any support to the family at this critical time will be highly appreciated. We are mobilizing resources so that we visit and support Miriam and her grandmother with personal and household items.

We also want to boost her education by shopping for her essentials like new uniforms, shoes and books. Additionally, since the old Mama is too weak to dig in the gardens, we will also support in getting labor for planting and harvesting this season. Please reach out to us and lets comfort and uphold this family at this critical point.

GOD BLESS YOU!

UPDATE

Greetings our faithful partners and friends

We are deeply grateful for your dedication to build a bright future for our supported children and their families. We regret the long time without updates here, but we'll now resume posting regularly, in addition to reaching out to individual sponsors.

The children are in their 2nd term and we are in the process of following up each of them and getting detailed updates. Here is a short development update of one of the supported children, Blessing Iradukunda:

Blessing was recruited into our program in 2020 at the age of 4. At that time she hadn't started kindergarten because of financial limitations. The Mum was struggling alone to take care of her, having separated with her husband. Thanks to good hearted partners, she's now in Primary 2 and still pushing forward. Also, the Mum reunited with her Dad and they are now living together again as family!

We are excited about that development, because we had been offering marital counseling to the Mum with the aim of bringing about reconciliation so that Blessing gets the privilege of living with both parents. We are glad it has happened!

With your support, we continue to shape the next generation of change makers one child at a time!

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2023!

 Hello there

Its been a long silence here but all is well, we will be sending individual updates to sponsors about their children and enlightening you about the changes taking place here, which are for the good of the program.

We thank you for your continued support all these years. Surely you have made a big difference in the lives of the children.

As usual, they are in their holidays now and we desire to make this Christmas special.

In case you have a gift for your child please let us know through our usual contacts. We will be sure to buy the gift right away. Alternatively, since not every child gets a gift from their sponsor, you could support us buy a gift for every child. Last year we were supported to buy solar lamps for them and they were very happy.

A full set of clothes for each child would cost 300 SEK. That would amount to 300 times 15 which is 4500 SEK for all of them.

God bless you all and....

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

TERM 1 2022

We are glad to report that our children are now drawing close to the end of first term of 2022.

They are catching up well after having been affected by the Covid 19 lockdown.

We are currently visiting each family to assess their needs and progress. More updates will be sent to individual sponsors in the course of time.

Lets keep the vigor and spirit of compassion, one day these children will look back as successful adults and be very thankful for the life changing interventions.

END OF 2021 OUTREACH

We had a general community outreach at the end of December 2021 where we reached out to all supported families plus many more.
It was done in partnership with CHAIN OF LOVE FOUNDATION, another child care organisation.
Some of the activities included:
A ...Children's fellowship and gift sharing. Children and their families received Christmas packages and school supplies.
B... Visits to selected homes in the community with a word of hope.
C...Youth workshop. We had a fun time with them as our visitors discussed about education, career etc
D...Liquid soap training. Some youth were trained on how to make liquid soap. This skill can be used to improve ones welfare through working for others or starting their own business.
E...We donated the soap made to a rural health centre and a street children rehabilitation project in our community.
F...Community work. We helped to construct a toilet for one of the vulnerable families in the
community.
Thank you for your partnership that makes all this possible!

We hereby bring you some pictures.

Our supported children are now back in school for the first term of 2022.

NEW KITCHEN

As we continue to work towards improving the lives of our children and their households, we have identified a critical need that we thought to share with you as our treasured partners and friends in this struggle.

It’s about the state of the kitchen of the family of MIRIAM CYIMPAYE, one of our supported children. As seen in the pictures, its incomplete and in a poor state. When it rains (its rainy season now until January) they can’t use it and have to cook from inside the main house. This puts the house at risk of a fire outbreak.

Miriam lives with her grandparents who are too weak to work well and bring in sufficient income to ensure a good standard of living. We are now reaching friends for contributions so that we construct a new kitchen and store for this family.

The budget for the new structure is 14,000 SEK.(Or approx 1,400 USD)

Any contribution to this noble cause will be highly appreciated!
